CHRONOLUNG, born in early 2010, is a declaration, a sound, an innovative mixture of staccato riffs and heavy melodic rhythms defining a new genre of rock music. The young power trio from Austin, TX, spearheaded by Collin Fish on guitar and vocals, supported by his brother Kevin Fish on drums, and childhood friend Ian Grimes on bass, is set to bring rock back to pop culture. Their power house performances has had them opening for notable acts such as Clutch, Periphery, The Daylights, The Memorials, and Vains of Jenna as well as playing on the main stage at Texas Rockfest, the Rumble Tour, and Pecan Street Festival. Influences range from rock bands such as Led Zeppelin and Pantera to Latin guitarist Al Dimeola and fusion drummer Thomas Pridgen. Their dynamic and soulful live performance substantiates that Chronolung is set to ignite a new form of musicianship.

COLLIN FISH - guitar, vocals and songwriter. Collin, to date, has written all of the lyrics and spearheaded the musical creation. His influences come from classic rock/metal bands such as Led Zeppelin and Pantera, as well as Latin guitarist Al Dimeola and other international sounds. He plays primarily on a Music Man Axis and Music Man Reflex through a Mesa Boogie Mark V amp.

IAN GRIMES - bass. Started to play the bagpipe at age 11 with guitar and piano prior. Playing for schools and rock shows, the bagpipe is Ian's unique talent. Music seemed to come to Ian naturally. "Music is how I bring myself back to center. It speaks in a tongue that my mind is very fluent in and is what makes the most sense to me." He is influenced by many different styles of music. From Classic Rock to Metal to Hip Hop to Jazz to Electronic, anything with rhythm and Ian is satisfied. Ian plays a Fender Precision bass through a Mesa amp.

KEVIN FISH - drums. Kevin is influenced by early rock drummers such as Bonham, however, his style has gravitated towards fusion drummers such as Thomas Pridgeon and Tony Royster, Jr. Kevin currently plays Ludwig Vistalite drums. When not drumming, Kevin is a Pro mountain bike and cyclocross racer, who competes in US Cup and World Cup races.

The crowd is skanking in unison, bouncing up and down like an irie earthquake of rhythm. The maestro with the guitar stops blowing his harmonica and leans into the microphone and shouts: 'Original Music! For Original People!' The crowd screams back in togetherness. The maestro smiles and hits them with another song.

Tidal Waves are widely regarded as the hardest working reggae band in South Africa, playing gigs from Oppikoppi to Pretoria, Cape Town to Potchefstroom and beyond. The band is made up of five very gifted musicians, the core of the group being held together by Jacob 'Zakes' Wulana on guitar, vocals, harmonica and vuvuzela and Sam 'Drumbo' Shoai on vocals and drum kit. The rest of the band is made up of Shadrack "Charlie" Mathopa is on the bass guitar; Johannes "Charlie" Papasha on keyboards, while Jaco "Mr." Mans wields the lead guitar.

Singer, multi-instrumentalist, and group founder Jacob "Jakes" Wulana, along with fellow founder and drummer Sam "Drumbo" Shoai, hails from the western dustbowl mining town of Klerksdorp (the rest of the band came together in Yeoville, Johannesburg). Growing up in the township, Wulana and Shoai were surrounded by a range of languages, cultures, musics-Zulu, Xhosa, Setswana, Tshivenda, Afrikaans-as well as by the music of Bob Marley, Sly and Robbie, and Curtis Mayfield.

Tidal Waves write and perform original reggae music with traditional African music influences like Maskandi and Mbaqanga. The sound is original roots reggae with strong rock, ska and blues influences. They are renowned for performing music in English, Afrikaans, Setswana and Tshivhenda. Each language has musical implications: "If I sing lyrics in Xhosa," explains Wulana, "I need to have a Xhosa melody and harmony. We grew up singing our traditional songs, with their humming and clapping, that were very different from what we sang at school."
