The Weatherman is a portuguese band formed in Oporto in 2006 by it's mentor and songwriter Alex Monteiro. The band's line up is completed with drummer Nuno Sarafa, bassist John Andre, and keyboardist Rui Maia.

After a one year break away from live perfomances to focus exclusively on writing and recording the new album, The Weatherman is back in 2012 reinventing itself, with it's poppier record to date and simultaneously more autobiographical.

"Proper Goodbye" is the single chosen as first new album advance.

Simply titled "Weatherman," the new album will feature 12 pop songs wrapped in a sound that carries influences from electronic music to european folk, bringing a new identity to The Weatherman path.

"Proper Goodbye," features Rui Maia (X-Wife / Mirror People), Nuno Sarafa (X-Wife, Best Youth, We Trust) on drums and John Andre (Andre Indiana, Monica Ferraz, We Trust) on bass and co-production.
