Trio of CHŁOPCY KONTRA BASIA (lit. Boys contra Basia) was formed in November 2009 in Krakow, Poland. 

Their music is original compositions inspired by traditional Polish culture, jazz, soul and rock of the 70's. 

Lirycs written by Basia Derlak are prepared on the basis of archival recordings and ethnographic records, so as to capture the style of a fairy tale, folk tales and chants.
The song "Jerzy" (lit. "George") won the sixth edition of the "Battle of the Bands" - a competition organized by World Music Network. In the same year the band took part in the third edition of the Polish "Must be the music".

Trio CHŁOPCY KONTRA BASIA powstało w listopadzie 2009 roku w Krakowie. Muzyka grupy to oryginalne kompozycje inspirowane polską kulturą tradycyjną, jazzem, soulem i rockiem lat 70-tych. 

Teksty autorstwa Basi Derlak są przygotowywane w oparciu o archiwalne nagrania i zapiski etnografów, tak aby oddawały stylistykę baśni, gawędy czy przyśpiewki.  

Jej utwór „Jerzy" wygrał w szóstej edycji „Battle of the Bands" - konkursu organizowanego przez World Music Network. W tym samym roku formacja wzięła udział w trzeciej edycji programu „Must be the music - Tylko muzyka".
