CHRISTOPH SCHELLHORN
Christoph Schellhorn is a guitarist, singer and songwriter from Tirol, Austria.
Born in 1983 he started making music very early. His first attempt was captured at the tender age of two. Over the years he shared the stage with quite a few big names in the music business, such as Kieran Halpin (IRL) and Chris Jones (USA). Schellhorn uses a large number of open tunings to force his unique fingerstyle played with metal picks and slide on his acoustic weapon of choice. His emotional lyrics deal with daily traps and pleasures, encounters and confrontations, illusion and reality, love and loss.
2011 saw the release of his 4th studio-album Box Of Chocolates, which offers a seething mixture of Acoustic Rock, Folkblues, ballads and surprising instrumentals, highly recommended by the international specialised press. Mixing his new stuff with familiar work and improvising skills Christoph Schellhorn is looking forward to hit the road and tour all over Austria and Germany in 2012, always relying on the eponymous mantra from the movie Forrest Gump: „Life's like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get!"
