The City Apples are a band hailing from Blanchardstown in West Dublin, consisting of three lads who are all in their early 20s, James Mc Cabe, Gerard Gallagher and Sam Henderson. The beginnings of the band started with the split of Stone Motion, of which Ger and James were members of. The band enjoyed many good years together which included high profile appearances such as Oxegen 2010, and the HMV forum in London. However in the latter of 2010 the desire for a new start and a new project sparked the formation of The City Apples.

Since then, the band have reinvented themselves in both line-up and style of music. Sam joined up with Ger and James early in 2011 to complete the trio. The City Apples are now brandishing a slightly more sinister and darker style of song-writing as they tell tales of the current times.
