Flint & Tinder was born in June of 2011. The duo consists of Trip Needham (Vocals, Acoustic guitar, Keyboard, Harmonica and Mandolin) and VanMerwe (Vocals, Acoustic guitar, Violin).

Their style blends an addictive mixture of Folk, Soul and an overdose of Blues. This is a duo which mainly focuses on their guitars and vocals, but throws some interesting instruments in the mix every now and then! The music is spirited and uplifting with an overpowering rhythm and catchy lyrics that'll have you singing along and tapping your feet instantly!

After bursting onto the scene on the 17th of September with their first live performance at Bravo's Pizzeria, they have been frequently gigging at various venues around Pretoria and been raising lots of interest and gaining support! This is mainly due to their creative way of changing songs by injecting some fresh and innovative instrumental sections to keep the audience on their toes!
