Jack Lynskey is a singer/songwriter from Dublin, Ireland. He has been singing since a very young age, and his been writing songs for the last few years, for his previous band, Easy Target, to whom he was the lead singer, and now for his solo material.
Jack has been praised for his vocal and songwriting ability by his peers, as well as his social awareness with lyrics. He is a tenor vocalist, but has a very wide range.
He has performed in venues such as the Academy 2 with his band, and has sang solo in the Helix. He has also been on RTE twice, singing solo, and then with Easy Target. He has played in many musicals, playing the role of Seymour in his school's production of The Little Shop of Horrors.
He is influenced by many artists, including musicians David Bowie, Lady Gaga, Jack Johnson, Lily Allen, Arctic Monkeys, Pretty Reckless, The Villagers, Arcade Fire, Kate Nash, Florence + The Machine, Vampire Weekend and Madness to name a few, but also poets, such as Sylvia Plath and Robert Frost.
Jack is currently trying to assemble a band for live performances.
