Pavlovs dogs are a dirty, soulful rock and roll band. The band's tone is geared towards a rootsy authentic sound combining bright guitars with raunchy blues inflected vocals. Having been grist to major label's mill with previous bands such as the driven, the band, Paul Power (vocals) and Darrin Mullins (guitars), took a determinedly independent approach this time, cooking up Pavlov's dogs and writing the new album in a home studio, situationed in an attic over a pub (The Oval, Cork). Lyrically dark yet grasping at hope, The Truth of Your Lies is an album that carries no agenda other than music for music's sake.
