The Maronis formed in mid 2010 comprising of 5 members from the Lower North Shore to the Hills District of Sydney. Combined with an eclectic range of influences such as Sia, Lykke Li, to David Bowie, Muse and Incubus, The Maronis have created a sound that mixes dance, rock, pop, with a hint of electro and blues.
In Dec 2011, The Maronis had their first live radio interview at a local radio station, Bondi FM who also played 4 of their songs; 2 songs on high rotation. A month later, they were asked to return for their second interview and promote their first self-titled EP which they released in January this year. The songs from the EP were also nominated at the 2012 Music Oz Awards held at the Sydney Opera House.
